He led large R&D and engineering teams at Symantec and Neustar, has led product and market strategy teams, and is an investor and board member at ThriveHive. Prior to tech, he was a professor of philosophy.

Mark Nelson
CTO, Lead Engineer, co-founder
Mark conceived and built the Quantescent concept and software. He is an experienced entrepreneur whose previous projects include Ovid Technologies, a medical search engine company he built from scratch, took public in 1994, and sold for $200 million in 1998. Other projects include Alpheios (now part of Tufts University) and Ovid Vineyards.  

David Knudsen
Chief Data Officer, Operations, co-founder

David has been a senior executive at four Silicon Valley, venture-backed start-ups,
all successfully sold.  He began in economic and management consulting, worked in a financial risk management firm, and co-founded a real estate private equity firm.

Mike Gursky
Chief Architect
Mike was chief architect and one of the main developers at Ovid Technologies, which sold for $200mm.  He was later architect for the Alpheios Project and, most recently, principal consultant with MarkLogic.  He has a BA in mathematics from Yale and did all but dissertation in a PhD in computer science at UC Berkeley.

Matthew Heil
VP Business Development, Controller
Matthew was most recently Director of Development and CFO at Saint Helena Montessori School, where he led a $22mm capital campaign. Before moving to Philadelphia he was Chair of the Planning Commission for the city of Saint Helena, CA. He has a BA from UCLA and further graduate work in Spanish, Economics, and Politics.

Timothy Norton

VP Product Management

Tim was most recently a product manager at Trust Company of America, delivering software solutions to RIAs, and was also Chief Product Officer and lead developer at GoVesting, a startup in the robo-advisor space. Tim is a former financial advisor, has multiple certifications in UX, Agile, and web design, and ran his own web design firm.

Akram Kamal

Software Engineer

Akram holds a BS in Computer Science from University of Gaza, and taught CS at the University after graduation.  Over the last three years he has built our client UI, Web implementation and related software. Akram has deep expertise in C#, Ajax, JavaScript, HTML, ASP.net, Node.js, socket.io, Angular, BootStrap, and MongoDb.

Steven Kelly
Advisor

Steve is a seasoned proprietary trader. Over the last 15 years he has traded many stock, currency, and options markets around the world, and he was a Partner and Co-Founder of Buxton Hill Partners, a proprietary trading firm. He currently trades at Merus Capital Partners in New York City and holds his Series 7 certification.

Doug Cutting

Doug is the founder of numerous influential open source projects, including Lucene, Nutch, Avro, and Hadoop (the genesis of the Big Data movement). He is Chief Architect at Cloudera, and is on the Board of the Apache Software Foundation.
